1. Update to the latest software

Please check Settings > General > Software Update to check whether an update is required. If an update is available, you may install it wirelessly by plugging your device into a power source or connecting it to your computer and using the most recent version of iTunes.

2. Optimize your settings

Regardless of how you use your device, there are two simple strategies to prolong battery life: set screen brightness and activate Wi-Fi. Reduce screen brightness or use Auto-Brightness to extend battery life.

Drag the Brightness slider to the bottom of the Control Center to darken it. Auto-brightness automatically adjusts the brightness of your screen to the ambient light.

Go to Settings > Accessibility to enable it. After Display and Text Size, select Auto-Brightness.

When using your smartphone to access data, always have Wi-Fi on because it uses less power than a cellular network. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi to enable Wi-Fi and connect to a Wi-Fi network.

3. Enable Low Power Mode

When your iPhone’s battery begins to run low, you may use Low Power Mode to extend its life. When your battery level falls below 20%, your iPhone warns you and allows you to engage Low Power Mode with a simple tap.

You may also enable it by heading to Settings > Battery. Low Power Mode lowers system animations while dimming the display and improving device performance.

Mail and other apps will no longer be able to download files in the background, and services like AirDrop, iCloud sync, and Continuity will be disabled.
